Homework 4.2

HOMEWORK 4.2

Solve for the given variables in the following equations:

1. 11m +4 = m +34

2. 2/3h - 90 = 101 - h

3. (4m - 2) /7 = m/2

4. 3a + 8 + 2a = 98

5. 2/3p + (3p - 5) /6 = 1/3 + p

Simplify the following expression

6. 3m + 4p - (p - m)

7. 4a + 4b + 6ab - b

8. -4a(a - 7) - 2(6+a)

9. If a = 3 and b = -2 solve:

              (ab - 4a) /b

10. Given x = 2, y = 3 and z = 5 solve:

            (x2 + y + z) ÷ xy
