ABOUT EXAMINATION CODES

The examination code consists of 11 characters. The first and the last two letters before the last digit are showing the initial of the subject name.

Example

Geography = GE ......... PH....

or

Mathematics = MT ............. TC.....

The first digit indicate the level of education as follows:

Primary = 1

Secondary = 2

Example:

GE1 means primary geography

MT2 means secondary mathematics.

 

The second digit indicates the standard of the education level

Example:

GE14 means geography for standard four.

MT16 means mathematics for standard six

MT23 means mathematics for Form Three.

 

The other digits indicate the series of the paper or examination paper number.

Example:

GE130001PH7 means geography for standard three paper number 1.

GE220041PH6 means geography for form two paper number 41.

MT160605TC7 means Mathematics for standard six paper number 605.

 

The last digit indicate the highest standard of the given level of education.
